FabricAir® Duct with Nozzle

Both Cooling and Heating
FabricAir® Duct with nozzles are used in rooms that demands a high level of comfort and a process orientated air distribution. The Duct can be used for both cooling and heating purposes.

Optimum Air Distribution
FabricAir® Duct with nozzles were developed by IPS Ventilation A/S in cooperation with the Danish research institute "Slagteriernes Forskningsinstitut" in the beginning of the 80's. The background for the development of the Ducts was a wish to develop an air distribution method where you could combine the condensation free permeable FabricAir® Duct with direction orientated nozzles. The purpose was an optimum distribution of air egg. in the equalization cooling rooms in the Meat Packing Industry.

Process Orientated Solutions
Today the Ducts are used to distribute air in a variety of rooms. An example is a room with condensation problems in the construction of the ceiling. Here it is possible to eliminate the condensation problem by turning a few of the nozzles upwards without creating a draught in the room. Another example are rooms where you need long throw lengths because the air must be distributed over large areas. But mostly it is used in process orientated solutions where the air distribution and velocity are more important than the level of comfort.

The part of the air that is distributed through the surface of FabricAir® Duct leaves at a velocity of approx. 0,1 m/s. The velocity through the nozzles is much higher - normally between 7,0 and 16,0 m/s (the velocity depends on the static pressure in the Duct).

Many Different Businesses
FabricAir, Inc. delivers FabricAir® Ducts with nozzles to a variety of businesses. A lot of systems have been delivered to Meat Packers, fresh food terminals and warehouses. We produces all FabricAir® Ducts with nozzles of specially made fabric in Polyester/Trevira CS. The material is fire resistant and has been approved in USA according to NFPA 90A-1993
